DESCRIPTION:Clearing Old Metal\nFriday, April 19 – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. \nLocation: Hanley Farm (Mounds View Grassland)\nHelp is needed in cleaning up old metal farm debris (and maybe some plastic and glass) from two field stone piles and from recently cleared fence lines. A future hiking trail is going to pass near the field stone piles, and the cultural origins of the piles will be mentioned in the preserve’s interpretive materials. We wish to have the potential hazards posed by the debris removed before the trail is established. We will also be loading previously accumulated scrap metal at the Reilly Road barn into trailers for removal to the Brigham Township Clean Sweep.\nWHAT TO BRING/WEAR:\nBe sure to bring leather work gloves and wear sturdy boots with ankle support. Go past address 2906 County Road F by approximately 200 yards and pull off on to the wide road right-of-way (at least 5 feet off pavement). Note: A half-mile down F from 18-151, pay close attention to the road signs as County F turns to the right and the straight-ahead road becomes County Z. Stay on F.\n
