DESCRIPTION:Mukwonago River Oak Barrens Special Work Day with Chapter Support\nTuesday, October 15 – 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\nLocation: Mukwonago River Oak Barrens\n\nThe Prairie Enthusiasts’ Chapter Support team will be onsite to help care for this regionally unique oak barrens (a type of savanna on sand), moist savanna, low prairie, and sedge meadow that support rare animals and at least 239 native plant species (not including species planted/seeded). The exact time the Chapter Support team will be there is TBD, but the activities will begin at 9:30 am. We’ll break for lunch. Feel free to come for any portion of this day to meet our hard-working and talented staff while you improve habitat that supports Blanding’s turtles and Rusty-patched bumblebees.\nThis is a day in service in honor of Indigenous People’s Day on October 14.
