DESCRIPTION:Weaver Dunes Volunteer Day: Collect Native Plant Seeds!\nSaturday, October 11 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.\nLocation: Weaver Dunes Field Station in Kellogg, MN\nThere will be another seed collection day at Weaver Dunes. It is a fabulous sand prairie and worth a visit.\nPossible ready seeds:\n-Leadplant!\n-Blazing Stars!\n-Prairie Clovers!\n-Snake Cotton!\n-Bush Clover!\n-Big AND Little Bluestem!\n-Silky Prairie Aster!\nAlerts:\n-Poison Ivy grows in many places around the preserve and while we will try to avoid it, no promises can be made\n-Dogs are not allowed on the Preserve\n-Snakes are a likely encounter at Weaver Dunes\nWe will cancel in the event of:\n-Heat index over 90 degrees\n-Lightning\n-Rain\nDIFFICULTY: Mobility needed including bending/kneeling to plant height- as small as 1 foot off the ground, slow walking totaling up to a mile or three.\nWHAT TO BRING:\nPlease bring a lunch/snacks, rain jacket/appropriate clothing for the weather (long pants and socks, sturdy shoes or rain boots you can tuck your pants into, sun hat/sunglasses), carabiners or belts, bungee cords etc. to attach to our pants for seed receptacles. \n\nCONTACT:\nRSVP to Kally Rapp at Kallyn.rapp@tnc.org ( mailto:Kallyn.rapp@tnc.org ) for questions and to be notified in case of cancellation.\n\nLOCATION:\nWeaver Dunes Field Office\n60042 Wabasha County Road, Kellogg, MN\n
