He recently authored Healing Wounds: Giving Back to Nature by Gary Eldred with Mark K. Leach, published by Leaky Canoe Books. The book describes Gary’s experiences that led to forming and nurturing The Prairie Enthusiasts. His dedication to saving fire-dependent ecosystems and thoughtful conversations with landowners resulted in the protection of several properties, and he was inducted into the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame in April 2021.\nJoin us for a presentation illustrating Gary Eldred’s story, a book reading, and time for discussion.
