DESCRIPTION:Empire-Sauk Chapter: Basic Prescribed Fire Crew Training\nSaturday, October 3 – 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.\nLocation: Cross Plains, WI\n\nThe Empire-Sauk Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts is offering basic training for those interested in prescribed fire. This 1-day class is for people without previous experience in prescribed fire or who want a refresher. The training will follow the guidelines of the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council. Successful participation in this training, plus attending a field training session, plus helping on two burns with The Prairie Enthusiasts as an apprentice, provides qualifications to be a new crew member on The Prairie Enthusiasts’ burns.\nThis class will be taught by Rob Baller, Scott Fulton, Patti Haack, Andy Sleger, and Rob Schubert of The Prairie Enthusiasts.
