DESCRIPTION:Join us as we cut buckthorn at the Rocky Branch Savanna\nWe will cut buckthorn, other non-native trees and brush, and stack for the City to pick up.\nBuckthorn comes from Europe and Asia and is invasive, meaning it outcompetes native plants for space, sunlight and nutrients, upsetting the natural balance.\nWe will also take 3-5 people on a 15-minute walk down to the Kinni Pathway. We will spread some rye seed in the areas we cleared of buckthorn this winter. This is called a snow seeding.\nDate:  March 18 (Saturday)\nTime: 10am – 2pm  Come for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 hours. Whatever time you can volunteer is appreciated!\nLocation:   Rocky Branch Savanna\nAddress:  Meet at trail head between 1401 and 1371 River Ridge Road, River Falls, WI\nMap ( https://goo.gl/maps/VkH6rxBZHrqQMpio8 )\nPlease bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, and drinking water. Snacks, beverages, and tools will be provided.
