We’ll be working either in the unburned north unit on brush that has waited all winter for our return, or possibly in the saddle or south units, to catch the early weeds.\nCome and help this wonderful prairie. Black Earth Prairie is one of the finest prairie remnants in this area, but like all good things, it needs help to stay super good. And there will be some early flowers to reward us—Birds foot violets, wood betony—we shall see. It’s a wonderful prairie!\nAnd, oh yes, there will be snacks!\nWillis and I hope to see you at Black Earth on Saturday, May 13! Bring a friend if you have one who thinks this would be fun! Thanks!\nWHAT TO BRING:\nHat, gloves, long pants, and sturdy shoes or boots, bug spray. Oh yes, a jacket, too… ya’ never know….  Also, sharp eyes— the better to see the weeds with. Clippers and herbicide provided as needed.
