DESCRIPTION:View the fringed orchid blooms\nSunday, July 30th – 2:00 PM \nLocation: Bluestem Farm, S5920 Lehman Rd., Baraboo, WI 53913\nRain Date: Tuesday, August 1st – 2:00 PM \nDepending on the year, there are between 0 and 60 purple fringed orchids in bloom, depending on rainfall and the whim of the orchids.  But we also have many other nice species in bloom and lots of bumble bees and other fauna.  We often find orchids in drier spots for viewing but be prepared for wet feet.\nNOTE:\nAll field trips will look at plantings and restoration projects at various stages and with different management histories. Be prepared for weather, ticks, etc.  Hikes will be from 1/2 to 1 1/2 miles long, depending on what’s in bloom, where, and stamina of participants. Alternate date in case of severe weather.\nDIRECTIONS\nMeet at Bluestem Farm (S5920 Lehman Rd., Baraboo, WI 53913)\nBlue mailbox with Bluestem Farm on south side of box.  Park by garage.  Be aware that many nice species grow along the driveway, particularly on the east side, including our gentians.\nFIELD TRIP LEADER\nMuffy Barrett or Scott Weber – 608-356-0179 (please leave a message).\n
