DESCRIPTION: \nWe will spread locally collected native grass seed (riverbank rye, bottlebrush, etc.).  We will distribute the seed on areas cleared this winter of buckthorn and trees.\nDate:  February 24 (Saturday)\nTime: 10am – 2pm  Come for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 hours. Whatever time you can volunteer is appreciated!\nWe may end early depending on how many people come.  We may even work on some firebreaks in anticipation of an early prescribed burn.\nLocation:   Alexander oak savanna\nDirections: Take highway 35 south towards River Falls.\nTake highway 65 south (35 turns into 65) toward Ellsworth.\nGravel road entrance is on the right just before the Town of River Falls town hall.\nPark in the quarry, at the entrance, or in the Town Hall lot.\nMap ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/FdcGYEUaF9QeFYV27 )\nPlease bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, and drinking water.
