DESCRIPTION:TBD\nSaturday, March 23 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon\nLocation: Benedict Prairie with Alan Eppers\nBenedict Prairie is a unique remnant located along a right-of-way on the old Kenosha-Silver Lake-Beloit branch of the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. The original vegetation is described by UW-Milwaukee Professor Philip Whitford in this pamphlet. Participants should wear layers, sturdy boots, work gloves, and eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses). Water is also recommended.\nDIFFICULTY LEVEL: easy-medium; level but uneven terrain\nAll experience levels are welcome, including absolute beginners, and you can leave early if you need to (but please arrive at the beginning when orientation and instruction are provided). We’ll provide training and gear as needed.\n**Please RSVP via email to the work party leader so they can plan for needed equipment and contact you in case of cancellation!**\nMEETING LOCATION:\nI-94 to state hwy 50 (Kenosha/Lake Geneva exit) Hwy 50 west 1.5 miles to 144th Ave. South on 144th Ave 0.6 miles Benedict Prairie is on the east side.
