GLACIAL PRAIRIE CHAPTER WORK DAY

Start the New Year by helping our native ecosystems!

We have a full calendar of workdays during January to work off any holiday excess and care for our environment.

Wear clothes that can get beat up, sturdy boots, work gloves, and bring a water bottle. Tools, safety equipment, and training will be provided at each event.

Sun Jan 22nd, Noon – 3 pm, Shining Oaks Preserve

This 40 plus acres is private property, a gem now owned by Emily and Chris Goetz. TPE holds the conservation easement for this delightfully varied landscape. It has wetland, prairie, oak savanna, sedge meadow and shrub carr. Come and meet the wonderful new owners and work on the North Knob where we are freeing the landscape from honeysuckle, buckthorn, and small trees. The WI Threatened Kitten-tails and the multitude of Shooting Stars will appreciate the help.
