COULEE REGION AND FRIENDS OF THE BLUFFLANDS WORK PARTY
Fall Work Day at Lookout Prairie and Savanna
Saturday, September 27 – 7:00 a.m. to Noon
Location: Lookout Prairie and Savanna in La Crosse, WI
Starting in September, we will begin our collaborative workdays with the Friends of the Blufflands. Each week there will be a Wednesday and Saturday workday alternating between City of La Crosse properties and Coulee Region Chapter project sites. Our Chapter sites include Marowski Bluff Prairie and Holland Sand Prairie, along with several private lands we’ve been working on. Work will include such tasks as seed collecting, cutting and treating brush, and firebreak construction. Weather will often determine the activity, and we will transition as it gets closer to winter. Most workdays are 7:00 to noon unless noted, but you can come late or leave early as needed.
Work party focus: Cut and treat of brush and seed collecting.
WHAT TO BRING:
Water, sturdy shoes, gloves, and dress for the weather.
WORK PARTY LEADER:
Everyone on the Coulee Region Chapter volunteer list will get details on all workdays. If you haven’t been getting those emails and would like to, let Jim Rogala know (email).
