The Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council has been developing a training program for prescribed burn Line Bosses (what they are calling Squad Bosses), and the first run of this class will be on October 18 & 19 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Mounds View Grassland (rain date Oct. 25 & 26). The program has been developed by a team with representation from a range of volunteer organizations, government agencies, and private contractors. The Prairie Enthusiasts’ Rob Schubert and Rob Baller will be among the instructors for the course, which includes classroom training, leadership scenario exercises, and live fire crew practice
