EMPIRE-SAUK WORK PARTY

Brush Removal and Piling at Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie

Thursday, December 4 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location: Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie, Lodi, WI

Help restore this unique oak barrens and sand prairie community. We’ll be clearing trees and brush encroaching on sand prairie. If snow is on the ground we’ll burn piles, otherwise we can build burn piles to help prepare for future workdays.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please bring gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Please avoid wearing synthetic fiber clothing in case we are burning brush piles. Sawyers are welcome to bring their own chainsaw and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
