ST CROIX VALLEY chapter chainsaw safety class

Saturday, December 13

Operating a chainsaw and working around trees are two of the most dangerous activities our volunteers do. Therefore it’s important that chainsaw operators and those working near chainsaw operators understand basic safety techniques, wear appropriate gear, and provide for the safety of themselves and those around them.

All chainsaw operators must be aware of (i.e. have read chainsaw safety manual or have taken a chainsaw safety course) and use accepted chainsaw cutting and felling technique. While a chainsaw safety course is not required, it is strongly recommended.

You may attend the class even if you do not have equipment but are interested in learning anyway.
