CHIPPEWA SAVANNAS AND DNR WORK PARTY
Bumblebee Survey and Optional Brush Clipping
Thursday, July 17 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Dunville Wildlife Area in Dunnville, WI
Join us and the DNR wildlife folks for a bumblebee survey. No experience is needed, but bring a means of snapping photos that we can look over to determine which bumblebees we “caught”. Dress for the weather and for a walk in the prairie. After we finish with the survey, if you feel like some exercise, we will be cutting brush with hand tools to make way for our new show prairie next to the Red Cedar Trail!
This is planned to be part of a recurring, monthly workday series, so if you aren’t able to make this day – perhaps you will be able to join for the next! They are planned to be held on the 1st Thursday of each month. More details to come!
WHAT TO BRING:
For all workdays, please bring work gloves, closed-toe shoes, and drinking water. No bathrooms on site, so plan ahead!
WORK PARTY LEADER:
Please RSVP to to Michelle about your interest in the bumblebee survey (michelle.carlisle@wisconsin.gov).
