Adelman-Schwartz Preserve Work Party

Saturday, September 6 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Adelman-Scwartz Preserve in Walworth County, WI

Invasive species brush work season has begun! We are going to begin stump cut treatments of Bell’s Honeysuckle and Common Buckthorn. We will be manually removing using brush cutters and loppers. The areas for removal are along steep prairie slopes. 

We will also be harvesting flowering forb and grass species seed from prairie for frost seeding this winter. Please wear sturdy footwear.

DIFFICULTY: Moderate (steep terrain)

 

WHAT TO BRING:

Recommended for the workday: Sturdy boots, work gloves, dress for the weather.
