EMPIRE-SAUK WORK PARTY
Brush Removal at Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie
Saturday, December 20 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon
Location: Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie, Lodi, WI
Help us remove invasive trees and brush from—and burn brush piles on—this wonderful oak barrens and sand prairie remnant. Over the past year we completed more than 10 acres of tree and brush removal, and the site is improving. Your help is important before we can reintroduce critically needed fire to the site.
WHAT TO BRING:
Bring gloves, eye and hearing protection, and water. Please avoid wearing synthetic fiber clothing in case we are burning brush piles. Wear non-flammable cotton or wool outerwear, if possible. Sawyers are welcome to bring their own chainsaw and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
