CHIPPEWA SAVANNAS WORK DAY

Lower Chippewa SNA – WI Dept of Natural Resources Work Day

Thursday, December 11 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Durand, WI

Location: Silvermine Prairie, parking lot near the dead end of Silvermine Drive, Eau Claire WI (map)

The West-Central DNR State Natural Areas program hosts a monthly workday the 2nd Thursday of each month. These are valuable opportunities to work alongside natural resource professionals and pick their brains about management techniques, plant ID, etc., while helping restore some of Wisconsin’s ecological gems.

December’s focus will be brush removal. Please bring work gloves, closed-toed shoes, and whatever water or snacks / you might want. Please note there are no bathrooms on site.

You are encouraged to RSVP with Dean Edlin at dean.edlin@wisconsin.gov so that you are notified in case of cancellation.

To sign up for monthly alerts about volunteer opportunities on SNAs and view more information, visit the SNA volunteer page.

The event is finished.
