Brush & Tree Removal

Sunday, February 10 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.  

Location: Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie

Help us remove encroaching trees and brush on the remnant sand prairie. If conditions allow, we will be pilling and burning brush.

WHAT TO BRING:

Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather (dress in layers). Do not wear synthetic fabrics near burn piles. Sturdy footwear and work gloves are required. Eye protection recommended while working on brush and trees. Bring drinking water. Chainsaw operators with their own equipment are welcome, but must have safety chaps and protective headgear.

DIRECTIONS:

This property is new to TPE and does not yet have a posted address.

From the intersection of Hwy 113 and Hwy 60 in Lodi, travel east on Hwy 60. Turn left on Lindsay Rd., continue onto County Rd J. Continue onto Co Rd V. The entrance to the property is located across from N2895 Hwy V, Poynette. Look for TPE boundary signs and entrance on right. Please drive through the gate and park to the side.
