EMPIRE-SAUK WORK PARTY

Smith-Reiner Drumlin Prairie Access Lane Clearing

Saturday, February 15 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Smith-Reiner Drumlin Prairie

We will be cutting/treating/piling trees and brush along the access lane to the prairie, depending on snow level and weather.

Encroaching trees and brush along the quarter mile long access lane need to be cut back so vehicles can get to the prairie. Most of the lane is open but a few pinch points should be cut back for management and fire vehicle access. People are needed for both cutting and piling cut limbs. This work can only be done when there is little or no snow on the ground.

WHAT TO BRING:

Bring your saws and PPE if available.

WORK PARTY LEADER:

If you plan to attend, please let the trip leader know at least 12 hours in advance, in case of last-minute changes in the schedule or cancelation due to severe weather.  Also contact them if you have questions.
