Swenson Bluffs Preserve Work Party: Agaski Unit Tree & Brush Removal

Saturday, February 7 – 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Swenson Bluffs Preserve in Arena, WI

The Agaski unit of Swenson Bluffs Preserve is coming along nicely. There are only 11,234 buckthorns left to kill, along with a few honeysuckles and multi-flora roses.

The upper CRP field is amazing, and the lower 12-acre field has been planted to prairie. Let’s restore the area between the two and give the beautiful open-grown Bur Oaks some room to breathe.

WHAT TO BRING:

Wear sturdy boots and gloves, and bring a water bottle. If you have loppers or chainsaws that you love, bring those too.

LOCATION:

7344 Mellum Rd, Arena, WI. From Highway 14 just west of Arena, turn south on Highway H. Go 2.5 miles and turn left/east on Mellum Road. In 0.2 miles, turn left at the first driveway you come to. Park at the end by the red shed or along the driveway. Do not block the neighbors who share the driveway. The blue house is the neighbor.
