Cutting and Treating Brush

Saturday, September 9 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon 

Location: Pam Meyer Barrens

Dan Carter will lead us in cutting and treating scattered brush and trees in preparation for prescribed burning between fall and spring. There will be a tour for those who have not previously seen this unique barrens property in Southeastern Wisconsin. The weather will be good for working (low 50s warming to 70s). This is a rare opportunity for our chapter to plan and execute stewardship according to our best judgment of what is needed for long-term success, and your attendance will help us gauge volunteer interest.

WHAT TO BRING:

You will need sturdy footwear, long pants and sleeved tops, and water.
