Birding Field Trip with Eric Howe

Sunday, April 21 – 12:30 to Noon

Location: Pam Meyer’s Barrens (Eagle, Waukesha Co.)

Join Eric Howe as we search for spring migrants. Eric is an experienced birder, beginning in the mid-90s and now with over 12,000 completed eBird checklists in Wisconsin, and over 500 species observed in the US. He has recently seen Northern Shrike, Red-headed Woodpeckers, and Hooded Mergansers (pictured above). Eric is an eBird reviewer for Kenosha, Racine, and Walworth Counties and serves on the board of the Hoy Audubon Society and the Chiwaukee Prairie Preservation Fund.

Level of Difficulty: Easy

What to bring

Binoculars, sturdy hiking shoes, long pants, and water.
