ST. CROIX VALLEY CHAPTER

 

We will spread locally collected native grass seed (riverbank rye, bottlebrush, etc.).  We will distribute the seed on areas cleared this winter of buckthorn and trees.

Date:  February 24 (Saturday)
Time: 10am – 2pm  Come for 1, 2, 3, or all 4 hours. Whatever time you can volunteer is appreciated!
We may end early depending on how many people come.  We may even work on some firebreaks in anticipation of an early prescribed burn.

Location:   Alexander oak savanna

Directions: Take highway 35 south towards River Falls.
Take highway 65 south (35 turns into 65) toward Ellsworth.
Gravel road entrance is on the right just before the Town of River Falls town hall.
Park in the quarry, at the entrance, or in the Town Hall lot.

Please bring work gloves, sturdy footwear, and drinking water. Snacks, beverages, and tools will be provided. Feel free to bring your own lunch.
