Insect Day!
Join us for an Insect Day at Prairie Haven!
Saturday, June 29 – 9:00 a.m.
Location: S1287 WI-88, Alma, WI 54610
Note: Marcie requests that we drive slowly on the driveway and watch for butterflies. There are lots of butterflies on the driveway in June and she hates squashing them.
Prairie Haven is the lovingly restored 420-acre farm in Buffalo County by Marcie and Mike O’Connor.
This tour of the farm will be insect-focused. Marcie is an avid insect enthusiast and hosts annual gatherings for National Moth Week and conduct an annual Butterfly Count. On our tour, we will see how many insects we can find, photograph and identify. One goal is to see the association between plants and the bugs that live on them.
