COULEE REGION AND FRIENDS OF THE BLUFFLANDS: WORK PARTY AT MAROWSKI BLUFF PRAIRIE
Work Party at Marowski Bluff Prairie
Tuesday, November 3 – 8:00 a.m. to Noon
Location: Marowski Bluff Prairie in Ferryville, WI
Join the Coulee Region Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts and Friends of the Blufflands for this fall work party to restore prairies in our region. Marowski Bluff Prairie is steep but there are opportunities to work on moderate slopes. We’ll primarily be doing cutting and treating of brush when weather permits, but these sites are scheduled for burns this fall/spring, so we’ll be putting in burn breaks on some days.
WHAT TO BRING:
Gloves, eyewear, sturdy footwear, leather gloves, water and a snack. If you have a favorite pair of hand pruners and loppers, bring them.
CONTACT:
Please RSVP to Jim Rogala at (jrogala58@gmail.com) for planning purposes and cancelations that may come up. There is also an opportunity to carpool from La Crosse to Ferryville.
Communication about workdays is primarily done through our workday volunteer email list. If you are not on our email notification list for workdays and would like to be added, please contact Jim Rogala.
LOCATION:
Marowski Bluff Prairie at 61675 Grand Vista Rd (MAP HERE). Parking is on top near the top of the work area.
