CHIPPEWA SAVANNAS WORK DAY

Tiffany Wildlife Area Prairie Improvement with WI Department of Natural Resources

Thursday, August 7 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Durand, WI

Come out and help improve prairie habitat on Tiffany Wildlife Area Thursday, August 7. We will be meeting just outside Durand, at Round Hill.

We will be cutting and treating brush species in a remnant sand prairie – the blazing star should be blooming, and this prairie is full of it!

Please note that there is no bathroom on site.

WHAT TO BRING:

Come dressed for the weather/walking in a prairie. No experience is needed, but if you have a favorite pair of hand loppers, feel free to bring them.

WORK PARTY LEADER:

RSVP is not required, but is preferred in case there are changes to the work day schedule due to weather. Email or text your RSVP to Mark at (MarkA.Rasmussen@wi.gov) or 608-418-0259.

LOCATION:

Meet at the Round Hill Wildlife Area DNR parking lot, on Round Hill Road east of its intersection with Silver Birch Rd., near Durand WI (map).

**This is part of a recurring, monthly workday series, so if you aren’t able to make it this day, maybe you can join in on the next! They are planned to be held on the first Thursday of every month. Look for details each month!**

The event is finished.
