The Benedict Prairie Unit of The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Field Station consists of about six acres, 100 feet wide and one half mile long. It is on what was once a railroad right of way on the old Kenosha-Silver Lake-Beloit branch line of the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. This is an iconic and rare mesic prairie that was inventoried in the 1950’s by the famous professor John T. Curtis. Don’t miss your chance to work on this exceptional site.
