Open House/Education Day

Location: Holland Sand Prairie

Join the Friends of the Holland Sand Prairie in their event to promote this gem of a sand prairie. Our chapter has been a partner with the Friends group and Mississippi Valley Conservancy in restoration. Come learn how this rare and special place is protected and restored. Enthusiasts and experts will share information about native plants, invasive plants, and restoration methods, as well as the origin and protection of this ancient floodplain terrace prairie. Join guided hikes on the prairie at 10:30 and/or 12:30.
