COULEE REGION WORK PARTY

Brush Work

Sunday, October 28 – Noon to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Rogala Prairies near Rockland

This is a property with a The Prairie Enthusiasts conservation easement that our chapter has been burning for over 20 years. In preparation for an upcoming burn, we’ll be doing some brush work (we hate cutting and treating resprouts!). The work itself is on fairly flat terrain, but we’ll have to hike up to it. If there is a chance of rain before or after the scheduled time, we’ll switch to working on firebreaks. RSVP to get the details.

WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:

For each of the outings, please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and bring work gloves. For tree and brush work, bring hand pruners or loppers if you have them. Otherwise, herbicide, rubber gloves, pruners and loppers will be provided. Consider bringing water and a snack.
