Small Tree Removal

Saturday, November, 4 – 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Location: Gasser Barrens

What to Bring/Wear:

Be sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather (dress in layers).  Do not wear synthetic fabrics near burn piles.  Sturdy footwear and work gloves are required.  Eye protection recommended while working on brush and trees. Bring drinking water.  Chainsaw operators with their own equipment are welcome, but must have safety chaps and protective headgear.

Directions to Site:

Gasser Sand Barrens: Take US Highway 12 west of Sauk City until you get to the junction with Hwy 60 (about 1.7 miles after the WI river bridge) on the south side of the road where Hwy 12 makes a large turn to the right (north).  Turn left onto Hwy 60 and travel 1.6 miles to the intersection with County Hwy O.  Turn right onto Co. O and travel another 2.4 miles.  Turn right onto Exchange Road and travel another half mile.  Park on the shoulder of the road.  Gasser will be on the west side of the road.
