EMPIRE-SAUK WORK PARTY
Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie Spotted Knapweed Removal
Friday, July 19: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie
Help restore this unique oak barrens and sand prairie community. Our land management team has been hard at work removing invasive spotted knapweed from this site. Our goal is to not let any of this biennial weed go to seed. We’ll be sweeping through the open sand prairie in search of individuals that were missed during our previous spot spraying efforts.
WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring gloves, a hat, drinking water, and help us remove spotted knapweed from our species list.
