Restoration Progress on Mathy Bluff Prairie
Saturday, July 12 – 10:00 a.m. to Noon
Location: Mathy Bluff Prairie in La Crosse, WI
This is one of the prairies being managed by the Friends of the Blufflands. Though a lot of restoration has been accomplished, there is still a lot to do to reach our goals. TPE has been a big help by doing prescribed burns. Come see the progress that has been made and enjoy spectacular views!
WHAT TO BRING:
Water, sun protection, a hat, insect repellent, and long pants and hiking shoes are recommended.
FIELD TRIP LEADER:
Jon Rigden (jonathanrigden@me.com). RSVPs are appreciated for planning purposes.
DIFFICULTY:
The hike from the parking area to the prairie will be fairly level ground on the ridgetop. Once at the bluff prairie, hikers can explore downslope as they desire.
