Blazing Stars and Butterflies at Smith-Reiner Drumlin

Saturday, August 30 – 10:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Smith-Reiner Drumlin Prairie in Cambridge, WI

The drumlins will be covered with rough and cylindrical blazing stars and the valleys in between will have gay feather. This should be a Monarch hot spot. Gentians and other prairie specialist flowers will also be blooming.

Hill climbing is involved on the quarter mile walk from the road to the prairie.

WHAT TO BRING:
Water, sun protection, a hat, insect repellent, and hiking shoes are recommended. Bring binoculars—the closer they focus, the better!

FIELD TRIP LEADER:
Please contact Pam Skaar if you would like to be contacted in case of cancellation or other changes.
