GLACIAL PRAIRIE WORK PARTY

Sedge Transport

Saturday, March 16 – Noon to 3:00 p.m.

Location: Pam Meyer’s Barrens with Dan Carter

Volunteers are needed to keep the expansion of oak barrens on track. We’ll transport savanna running sedge to help it “run” farther on site and stack brush piles. Participants should wear sturdy boots, work gloves, and eye protection (sunglasses or safety glasses). Extra work gloves and glasses are available. Water is also recommended.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: easy-medium

All experience levels are welcome, including absolute beginners, and you can leave early if you need to (but please arrive at the beginning when orientation and instruction are provided). We’ll provide training and gear as needed.

**Please RSVP via email to the work party leader so they can plan for needed equipment and contact you in case of cancellation!**

MEETING LOCATION:

Off of Cty Hwy LO in the Town of Eagle

WORK PARTY LEADER:

RSVP to Dan to get notification of whether or not this workday is going ahead at Dan Carter.

The event is finished.
