GLACIAL PRAIRIE FIELD TRIP+WORK PARTY

Walk and Talk with Dr. Dan Carter

Tuesday, August 27 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Mukwonago River Oak Barrens

This walk and talk will include a walk and talk with TPE ecologist and site steward, Dr. Dan Carter. We should see an impressive display of rough blazingstar! The walk will also include areas where work has occurred and is occurring and discuss progress and plans. The walk will be followed by some workday activities (optional), which may include seed collecting, fire break preparation, and/or brush work.

 

WHAT TO BRING:

Recommended for the workdays: Sturdy boots, work gloves, eye protection (glasses OK), long pants, long sleeves, insect repellent, water, a folding to sit and chat at the end of the workday if there’s time.
