GLACIAL PRAIRIE WORK PARTY

Adelman-Schwartz Preserve Work Party

Saturday, July 12 – 9:00 a.m. to Noon

Location: Adelman-Scwartz Preserve in Walworth County, WI

We will be “growing sunlight” by cutting back encroaching sumac, aspen, and removing undesired herbaceous plants (false salsify, Deptford pink, Japanese hedge parsley) in the prairie area of Adelman-Schwartz. Our method will be manual removal and onsite disposal of the debris.

DIFFICULTY: Moderate (steep terrain)

 

WHAT TO BRING:

Recommended for the workday: Sturdy boots, work gloves, dress for the weather. Bring folding/camping chairs for social time after our work is done.
