Crown Vetch Management

Tuesday, May 23rd – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: Eldred Prairie,

This will be the first day of our annual attack on crown vetch which has spread on the site. As the property has been burned and mowed there are fewer places for this plant to hide and we are making great strides. Another work party will follow in a couple of weeks to do mop up.

The chemical, dye, surfactant and some extra water  will be provided.

Thank you everyone, and in addition to doing some good you may expect to see good things blooming on the prairie.

WHAT TO BRING:

Your chemical sprayer and some water. If you don’t have a sprayer, please let us know and we will try to arrange to have one for you2.

This prairie is in Grant County, Wisconsin, Section 8, Ellenboro Township, about five miles east of Lancaster.
