COULEE REGION FIELD TRIP
Holland Sand Prairie
Saturday, September 9 – 10:00 AM to Noon
Location: Holland Sand Prairie
This 61-acre prairie is one of the few larger remnants of the once extensive floodplain terrace prairie that spanned from La Crosse up to Trempealeau. Many unique sand prairie plants can be found there, and we anticipate a good show from late summer blooming species. Our chapter has been partnering with the Friends of Holland Sand Prairie and Mississippi Valley Conservancy to help manage this beautiful remnant. It is one of the few flat prairies in the area, so it is an easy hike!
