Borah Creek Prairie Stargazing Walk


Friday, October 4 – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Rain Date Saturday, October 5 – 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Location: Borah Creek Prairie

Join the Southwest Wisconsin Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts as we explore the dark skies over the prairie with John Heasley, astronomy educator and founder of Driftless Stargazing. Snacks and beverages will be provided. Porta Potty will be available on site.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY:

It will be dark and the ground will be uneven.

WHAT TO BRING:

Wear clothing and shoes appropriate for night hikes on the prairie. We recommend wearing warm clothes and bringing bug spray. Bring a flashlight (red light works best) and binoculars. Feel free to bring a folding chair, recliner or blanket.

DIRECTIONS:

We will meet at the Borah Creek Event Barn. Follow the driveway to the barn.
