Feist Prairie Benefit Breakfast and Work Party
Saturday, May 3 – 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.; 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: Castle Rock Fishers’ Breakfast and Feist Prairie
This event is to make up for our last rained-out Feist Prairie work party.
On Saturday, May 3, let’s first meet at the Castle Rock Fishers’ Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Parish Hall, in Montfort, before the work party. Donations appreciated and will benefit the Grant Co. Cancer Coalition. Even if you can’t attend the work party, please join us for breakfast and a good cause.
From there, we can go over to Feist Prairie and work from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you have them, please bring brush cutters, chainsaws, loppers, pruners, herbicide applicators, and other implements of destruction restoration. Ear protection is recommended and leather gloves are strongly encouraged. Herbicide will be provided.

Feist Prairie is located southeast of Stitzer on Sleepy Hollow Road. Coming from the north or west, head east out of Stitzer on Hwy E. Turn right onto Ridge Road, then head south for approximately 2 miles. Turn left onto Sleepy Hollow Road for 1 mile. Look for the Feist Prairie sign on your left.
From Platteville, head north on Hwy D. Turn left on Hwy E. for approx. 3 miles. Turn left on Scenic Road – in 1.5 miles, turn right onto Sleepy Hollow Road. Look for the Feist Prairie sign on your right.
