Work Party at Lookout Prairie in Hixon Forest
Sunday, October 11 – 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Location: Lookout Prairie in Hixon Forrest in La Crosse, WI
Join the Coulee Region Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts and Friends of the Blufflands for this fall work party in partnership with UW-La Crosse students from Dr. Kaur’s class. We had a great experience with the students last fall and anticipate another valuable experience for volunteers and students this year. We need many volunteers to help so that we can keep the student to volunteer ratio low, so please join us!
This work party will primarily include cut-treat management and seed collecting.

LOCATION:
Lookout Prairie in Hixon Forest. This is a bluff prairie owned by the City of La Crosse. We will meet in the Upper Hixon parking lot near Hwy FA. It’s about a 0.6-mile hike on a trail to a steep bluff prairie but there are flatter areas that we can work on.
