EMPIRE-SAUK: SPOTTED KNAPWEED REMOVAL AT GIORDANO OAK BARRENS AND SAND PRAIRIE

Spotted Knapweed Removal at Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie

Saturday, June 6 – 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Location: Giordano Oak Barrens and Sand Prairie, Lodi, WI

Help us continue our restoration efforts at this wonderful site. We’ve opened up more sand prairie, removing cedars and other undesirable trees and brush over the winter, and now we need to stay on top of the spotted knapweed.

We’ll be hand pulling knapweed while enjoying the unique flora and keeping an eye out for new species to document as we restore this site.

WHAT TO BRING:
Please bring gloves and wear eye protection. Sunscreen, drinking water, and hat are strongly encouraged.
