There will be several opportunities this fall to help Wendy Johnson restore remnant bluff prairie and oak savanna at her property near Red Wing.

No chainsaws required for this work party; Due to sensitive bat species of concern that roost during the day April-October in larger trees, there will be no cutting of standing trees with a breast-height diameter greater than 3”.

WHAT TO BRING:

Please be prepared. Wendy will have extra water and a few break-time treats, but please bring the following recommended items:

-Long sleeve shirts and pants
-Work boots, gloves, protective eyewear, and any other necessary PPE
-Hand pruners, small hand saw and/or chainsaw (oil, gas)
-Water bottle & snacks
-Tick spray
-Enthusiasm for prairie restoration and camaraderie!
