Glacial Prairie Chapter Burn After Action Meeting
Sunday, June 14 – 3:00 p.m.
Location: UWM-Waukesha Field Station in Oconomowoc, WI
The Glacial Prairie Chapter’s burn after action meeting for the 2025-2026 burn season will be held on Sunday, June 14 at 3:00 p.m. All burn participants are encouraged to attend. Others with an interest in our burn program are welcome–even if they did not participate in burns. This is an important part of our burn program, but this is also a social event. Restrooms will be available.
There should be a chance to walk and see some of the post-fire effects of a burn we completed at the Field Station on March 4.
We will discuss:
-The burns we accomplished
-What went well
-What could have gone better
-Plans/ambitions for next burn season
-General burn program needs/wants
WHAT TO BRING:
Dress for the weather, though some inside space should be available if needed.
Attendees are very welcome to bring food or drink to share, but if getting something together just isn’t in the cards for you that day, you are still welcome.
In addition to food/drink, bring a camping chair (there are some Leopold benches), insect repellent, and your own plate/silverware to reduce waste.
